Rotorua SPCA: Bioptron for Cats, Dogs & Birds

To the public that made donations to enable Bioptron lights available to SPCAs.

The Rotorua SPCA is extremely grateful to Graham Dan O'Gorman and Zepter International New Zealand for the very generous donation of a Bioptron Pro with an 11 cm lens.

This light will allow us to treat the many hundreds of wild birds that come into our shelter every year in shock due to and/or suffering from illnesses such as botulism and unexplained paralysis. The light allows a hands-off approach which when dealing with wildlife is vital.

We also will use the light on the thousands of cats and dogs that we have in the shelter every year with varying diseases such as vomiting, diarrhoea and cat flu.
