When we arrived in NZ for six week’s holiday just after Easter, my daughter told me she had become an agent for the Bioptron light, [I must admit to never having heard of it] and she would do some treatments on me for my tinnitus, after six treatments it was 50% better than it was before, now having had more treatments it is 75% better and I can hear conversations around me that I could not hear before.

Anne also treated a bruise on the back of my leg that developed after having injections for varicose veins about 20 years ago, and it has never gone away, it has always been very black, well now after treatments on that with the light it has very nearly gone.

I am so pleased with the results I got Anne to get us a light to take back to England with us.

I wish to record the results of my experience with the Bioptron MedAll.The device has done wonders for me and I am grateful to you for bringing it NZ. Some of the ways in which I have used Bioptron with incredible efficiency are:

1. Despite a very heathy diet and plenty of exercise, in March last year I was diagnosed with both rickets and scurvy, which meant incredible pain in most of my body, and considerable disability. With the right supplements, I was slowly recovering. In August I met Fern, who was demonstrating Bioptron, and felt I may have found something that would help my recovery. I was right. After five months of intense pain, I found a high level of relief within weeks and was soon fully recovered, with full movement and comfort in my body.

2. Fern was visiting me in September last year, when I accidentally scalded my hand. My thought was A & E. Fern’s thought was to grab the Bioptron and give me a treatment. Within minutes, there was complete comfort, no redness, and no follow up of any medical treatment needed.

3. A month ago I developed a trigger finger. I used the light twice a day and could see improvement within days. I’m continuing the light treatment and there is a total absence of pain and stiffness.

4. Over the time I have owned the light, I have treated family and friends with coughs, colds, sore throats, scrapes and grazes, emotional stress - amongst a long list of other issues, with great success.

I can’t say strongly enough, that I find Bioptron the most amazing device I could have, for taking care of health and wellbeing, for myself and for the people with whom I share its incredible technology. As promised I have written out some testimonies regarding my use of the Bioptron Light.

My first experience of using the Bioptron was when lifting a kayak off my car, I tore the right rotator cuff (right shoulder). The specialist surgeon I saw said that it was too badly damaged to fix which meant difficulty driving and no golf. With nothing to lose, I decided to try the Bioptron Light and after 3 months of daily use, I was back to golf with full use of my right arm.

The second incident was when cutting a tree down I tore the tendon of my left shoulder and again the Dr said that it was too damaged to fix so once more I used the Bioptron light and after 3 months of daily treatment I was back on the golf course.

Incident #3 was when I had a bad toothache rear top molar the dentist x-rayed and said I had 2 options: extraction or root canal which would cost $3000. I did not like either of these options so decided to try the Bioptron with the Fullerene lens. That was over a year ago, I still have my tooth and no ache.

Incident #4 after walking for 15 minutes my hips were getting very sore. I am 90 next birthday so I guess sore hips are to be expected, so once more I used the Bioptron with the result I can now walk for an hour before I get a little sore.

To sum up, this is my routine with the Bioptron and Fullerene lense

• Tooth 4 min
• Eyes 2 min (I don’t need glasses to read or drive)
• Lungs 4 min (I have bronchiectasis from working in the mines years ago – it is a scaring of the lungs – last X-ray slight improvement)
• Knees 4 min (preventative measure)
• Hips 5 min – every week there is an improvement

In conclusion, I would have to say that by using Bioptron I have saved many thousands of dollars and enjoy a pain-free life.

The woman (age 27) first presented with an extensive inflammatory face infection after 6 months of Anti-biotic treatment.

Starting state before treatment:

• very dry skin with scales
• pigment spots after purulent manifestations
• very widespread pores
• newly inflamed pimples
• black dots
• painful bulky skin depth
• tingling sensation in the face
• at the pigment site, the skin's sensitivity Is heightened

First 10 treatment days, BIOPTRON light was applied twice daily (10 minutes), and starting from the 11th treatment day, treatment was once per day for 12 min

After 14 treatment days, the skin is not as dry. There is a lack of tension in the face, visible loss of inflamed bearings. The skin is more flexible and “lighter”.

After 26 treatment days, dry scales cease to form. The pores are no longer open. Less inclination to create new pimples, black dots cease to form. The affected pigment spots gradually return to normal skin colour.

The patient had a high number of red pimples, especially in the area of the chin (Image 2A). Bioptron Hyperlight Therapy was used during three weeks, 10 minutes/day. Thanks to the treatment, the number of pimples was significantly reduced and the few pimples that remained were smaller (Image 2B) and more superficial. At the same time, the regenerated skin looked smoother. Marks and scars almost disappeared.

Before starting the treatment, the patient’s skin was reddish with a high density of red pimples (Image 1A). The area affected reaches from the ear until the eyebrows and on the whole area of the cheek.

After treatment with Bioptron Hyperlight Therapy for 3 weeks, 10 minutes/day, the number of red pustules decreased drastically (Image 1B). Not only was the number of pustules reduced, but also the skin was not red anymore and it became smoother.

The Bioptron Light combined with a facial is a most wonderful experience. The light not only causes the creams applied to the face to have more efficacy, but it also causes lines to become less visible. The general tone and quality of the skin becomes softer, younger and more nourished. The light gives the added bonus of enhancing a general feeling of wellbeing and uplifting the spirits and the skin. It is a highly recommended experience.

I received my first information about Bioptron Light and Colour Treatments in March, this year. I found the information about face lifting unbelievable and because of that I decided to have just half of my face treated and leave the other side as the control sample without light. The treatments were in conjunction with the Oxy-Spray, Bioptron B2. lifting serum, and hydro lifting cream 2-3 times a week. At home, I did not use any of these or any other cosmetic product. After the 5th treatment, the change was clearly visible on the side of my face, that was being treated, in comparison to the untreated side. On the treated side: two deep wrinkles on my forehead completely disappeared, my eyebrow was higher my eye was more open, and the angle of my lips greater. I have used the Biopton Light source for more than twelve years in my cosmetic and reconstructive surgery patients and I believe that Bioptron is a great asset in my practice. it has a soothing effect on the patients and the operation site and reduces the swelling as well as the bruising at a far faster rate than normal. Dr Miroslav Colic first introduced the concept to me at an international conference and he has reported both in textbooks and in peer-reviewed journals about his experience.

I use it immediately after an operation for 10 minutes on each side and then at each following appointment I recommend the Bioptron treatment for up to 20 minutes.

I know of people who have their own Bioptron hand-held devices which they use as part of their antiaging routine. I have not seen any reported studies of that.

The advantage of the Bioptron is that it is light without UV rays and minimal blue rays and concentrates mainly on the beneficial. rays towards the red spectrum.. This light seems to facilitate the activity of the mitochondria which are the "power-stations" of our cells.

I have had a Bioptron light for 20 years, so it's not surprising I don't "look my age" - which is now considerable - given the proven capabilities of the light and even though I lead an outdoor life working on a farm. Over the years I have used Swissological products-or coconut oil (as I did for 7 years in France due to extreme poverty!) - plus jojoba oil and other natural products that promise much. It is hard to say what worked best because I used them all in conjunction with the light.

One thing that did not change, however, which has appeared over the last three years, is a patch of fine creases on my left cheek because I end up sleeping with my face scrunched up on the pillow on that side, no matter that I go to sleep on my back every night.

I bought a bottle of the Hyperlight Fluid Fusion because I'm a bit flush at the moment. along with the Swissological Multi-Regenerating Creme, on the advice of Nena, and because I'm vain enough to want to stave off the ravages of time for as long as possible.

Bedsores, also called pressure ulcers and decubitus ulcers, are injuries to skin and underlying tissue resulting from prolonged pressure on the skin. People most at risk of bedsores are those with a medical condition that limits their ability to change positions, spending most of their time in a bed or chair. Bedsores can develop quickly, some of them can heal with treatment, but some could be very difficult to heal completely.

A 60-years old lady who was incontinent and needed to use nappies, was suffering from a big bedsore at the buttocks area for 3 years, since the bedsore was not healing. She was treated at the Peers Village Retirement Home, Fishhook, (Cape Town, South Africa) with Bioptron MedAll once a day for 12 minutes, 5 times a week during one month.

Photographs were taken before the treatment with Bioptron (day 0), and 8, 14, 21 and 28 days after start the light treatment. It is evident how the ulcer is healing progressively, diminishing the affected area, as well as the depth. The inflammation of surrounding tissue is also decreased.

Thanks to the Bioptron Light Device this complicated bedsore was healed in around one month, where other treatments failed. The improvements were visible from the first week of treatment, the wound was healing and the redness and inflammation of surrounding tissue decreased. In conclusion, the use of polarized light among patients could be a very beneficial treatment to promote the healing process in severe and long-date pressure ulcers, diminishing also the inflammation, the pain and the risk of infections.

When we started the treatments on my skin, it had broken capillaries, red patches and hyper-pigmented patches with scaly skin on them. On the middle of my forehead there was a small erosion with red swollen skin around it. My skin was too dry and sensitive for me to use any cosmetic product. One weekly treatment with the Bioptron for 10 minutes — and colour therapy for 5 minutes ( both with the Oxy Spray) had very expedient results.

The bio-informed therapeutic products helped me immensely, in-home use to support treatments in The clinic, with regard to the fact that I was unable to use any other cosmetic products due to the condition of my skin. After 5 treatments the erosion had disappeared, and soon after the scaly patches did as well. The red patches were either completely gone or are still present in a much smaller radius.

Currently I started using, aside from the therapeutic products, Swissological cosmetics, which do not give me any allergic reactions. I am very impressed by the result of the light therapy and would recommend it to anyone with similar problems, particularly of my age group. John, 13, is a burn victim who now lives a life less painful and ugly since he received a new form of treatment. Using light rays from Bioptron, it has hastened the healing of his burn injuries.

John (not his real name) suffered third-degree burns on a third of his body, including his chest, legs, neck and face, after a youth poured petrol on him and lit a match. The fiery attack took place in a park last Christmas.

They had squabbled over a girl and the 14-year-old attacker, who pleaded guilty on June 16, will be sentenced after the prosecution has made further submissions on him tomorrow.

The attack landed John in hospital for 42 days, during which he had several operations. He now goes for outpatient treatment at Singapore General Hospital three times a week.

Director Lina Ho offered to help the boy with Bioptron Medical Light Therapy treatment, using a device that is new in the market here.

Also used to ease pain caused by other medical conditions, such as rheumatism, sports injuries and gout,the treatment requires six to 10 sessions.

John goes every afternoon to the treatment centre on the third floor of Shaw Centre in Orchard Road and the changes have lifted the boy's spirits, said his 40-year-old mother, who declined to be identified.

He was beaming two days ago when he walked into the centre wearing trendy shoes that had wheels in their heel area. 'Being able to wear such shoes gives him an emotional lift,' added his mother.

The swellings on his face have gone down to such an extent that he can now feel her fingers on him. She was also surprised to see beads of perspiration on his face last Tuesday, for the first time since the attack, she added.

The accident occurred late October 2001, when a mentholated spirits burner was being used to fuel a steam-powered motor. The experiment had been completed and the flame presumed to have exhausted itself, unwittingly more meths was added to the container, this ignited the contents of the bottle creating an eruption of flaming meths which was projected 1.5-2 mtrs across the room engulfing our 10-year-old boy Jess on the face and head, upper body clothing and legs. He and his brother responded instantly, ripping of the flaming cloths and extinguishing the burning hair, creating severe burns to hands, head and inside legs, (it was noted that the shorts he was wearing were of a synthetic type, which melted to the leg creating the deepest scaring. He was put under a cold shower within two minutes of the incident occurring and stayed there for at least 10-15 minutes, we believe that this had a major effect on minimising the burning and with reducing the pain. When the cold and shock were affecting his situation, we donned a gown, applied wet towels and proceeded to get emergency attention.

We were dismayed with the approach of the medical profession, after pain-relief and admittance, the wounds were dressed by scrubbing off the crust and wanting to apply paraffin oil (petroleum-based) and pop all of his blisters. To this we declined, feeling that our body knows best, this intervention would have resulted in open wounds being exposed within a hospital environment, it just did not make sense! The only other "treatment" offered was drugs for pain relief; we were emitted within 24 hours. We encouraged Jess to drink lots of good water, and his wounds were continually kept soft with the application of lavender oil throughout the entire experience.

Arriving home (day 2), we were now able to start a comprehensive treatment process, having obtained the Bioptron light and handbook; Jesse's wounds were sprayed before and after the light therapy with the Oxy Spray, (we used two 500ml bottles over the 8-day treatment). Using the blue lens, we applied the Bioptron light twice a day, for four minutes, point by point around the burnt areas, this process took approx. 2 hrs each sitting and was maintained for four days. We then reduced the time to two minutes each point for a further four days sometimes with the blue lens and sometimes without, Oxy Spray was applied to each point throughout, both before and after each light therapy.

The rapid re-generation of new skin was amazing, with a noticeable improvement by the hour in the first few days. After 4-5 days, the scabs started to shed revealing beautiful new skin underneath. We noticed that with the areas where the scabs were picked off prematurely longer term scaring or a highlighted pink coloured skin tone has resulted, all other areas except where the melted pants adhered, the new skin had formed within one week of the application of the light treatment.

When her 10-year-old son Jess suffered severe methylated spirits burns to his face hands and legs, Warkworth woman Debra Taylor was afraid her son would carry the physical as well as emotional scars for life.

The severe burning on his face, hands and legs has healed to such a degree, virtually no scarring is now visible at all. “The rapid regeneration of new skin was amazing,” says Debra. “There was a noticeable improvement by the hour in the first few days. My father was convinced that Jess would be left scarred and even he's amazed at the result.”

It was late last year when Jess was badly burned after a Bunsen burner full of meths, which he was using at home for a service experiment, exploded. His father Immediately placed Jess under a cold shower and gave him the homeopathic remedy Canthans. than took him to hospital.

A little girl diagnosed with Down syndrome and Autism put her hand on a hot cooking plate, causing her several burns. The parents were worried about whether their daughter would stay quiet and if it would be possible to apply the light therapy to her. The surprise was that she was calm and accepted the therapy with Bioptron perfectly (A).

Bioptron with Fullerene filter was applied directly on the hand for 2 weeks: first week session of 10 min twice or three times per day, and the second-week session of 10 mins once per day.

The progression of the burns at different stages (B-G) show the positive burn healing over a 2 week period of Bioptron treatment. As represented in the photos the skin under the burn wound regenerates very fast and is in a very good condition, allowing the patient to recover very quickly. In addition, in this particular case where the good and regular treatment application could be compromised for the potential agitation of the child, Bioptron accelerate the healing process in a pleasant and effective way.

Zelda came for Light Treatment and was very happy. Her knee is almost completely healed only a half cm square gap to fill. We cannot attribute it all to the Bioptron because she also has a Chinese magnetic heater that she has used with Oxy Spray between sessions here. However we know and believe that BIOPTRON did it!!

Conservative management of a non-healing burn wound located on the right foot of a 66- year-old diabetic patient. The wound area was managed conservatively at the Concord Hospital Burns Unit using conventional methods for 19 weeks with negligible improvement. After 19 weeks, Bioptron Light Therapy commenced. The use of Wound gel and dressing was continued during this time in conjunction with the Light Therapy using the Compact BIOPTRON lamp. This treatment resulted in the closure of the wound 15.5 weeks after commencement of Light Therapy.

In response to our recent conversation regarding the use of polarized light via the Bioptron light therapy system, I wish to clarify our current usage at the Burns Unit at Concord Hospital.

Since its inception here at the Burns Unit we have successfully employed the technology of polarized light therapy on several hundred patients with chronic non healing wounds. This is undertaken as a routine adjunct in our wound care and there is no billing connected to this service as it is undertaken during the routine dressing changes.

This is not a first-line treatment in our regime, rather we apply the technique as an adjunct to wounds we find problematic and slow or non healing. This includes previously grafted wounds and non healing donor sites from skin graft harvesting procedures. There are no complaints of patients to note and as we monitor the ongoing treatment and long term outcomes (over years) we have not recorded any side effects or discomfort on any of our patients.

Thank you for assisting with this technology and rest assured we are planning to continue to use the Bioptron light therapy system for our patients.

Although I am slim, for the past four years I have had a problem with cellulite around my thighs and legs, I felt embarrassed wearing my bikini. I exercised, watched my diet, and did all the right things - to no avail. After researching what causes cellulite and discovering there was "no real cure" other than what I had been doing I felt I would be stuck with it for good.

By chance I came across the Bioptron Light Therapy together with cellulite massage at the Spine & Body Clinic in Henderson. At first I was skeptical - it seemed too easy - especially after years of hard workouts and no results...

4 months later my cellulite has nearly disappeared - I feel like I discovered gold - my confidence is restored and I'm ecstatic with the results - If you have cellulite you have to try the Bioptron - it does work.

At the end of winter last year I was looking through my clothes to see what would be okay to wear in the summer. I tried on a pair of shorts I had worn the previous summer, what a nasty shock I got when I saw all this horrible lumpy skin that looked like orange pee!. Next time I saw Barbara, at the Spine & Body Clinic, I asked her about the cellulite treatment with Bioptron she had advertised, Barbara had me convinced and within two treatment, I could already notice a difference. By the time I had finished my eight treatments all the cellulite had gone, my legs looked nice and firm and best of all my clothes were fitting a lot better. It was much easier than dieting or spending hours at the gym!

My five-month-old daughter Caitlin has suffered for a while with bad eczema on her face, ears, neck, elbows, back of the knees and ankles.

I was recommended by a friend of mine to give the Bioptron light and colour therapy a go. I decided to try it in mid March. For the first 10 treatments, Caitlin had a half an hour every second day and her skin came right completely. The eczema is no longer visible, there are no signs of dermatitis or cradle cap and she has come off losec and has no reflux any more.

Now she has one treatment a week just for maintenance and eats and sleeps well and grows as a very healthy and happy baby.

I do recommend to all mothers that have got babies with similar problems to give the Bioptron a go. They are completely safe and babies do enjoy them.

I have had eczema, dermatitis and contact dermatitis intermittently all my life. In fact I first developed it in the first few days of life. I was plagued with it during my early life and although most of my adult life has been spent finding the best way to deal with it, success has been varied.

Diet and environment have a great deal of influence on this condition and although I'm aware of all the elements that trigger its onset, it has continued to break out inconveniently on regular occasions.

Earlier this year I started treating my hands (which are the most susceptible) with the Bioptron light and Oxy-Spray, followed by Swissological Multi-Regenerating Cream, treating the area consistently twice a day, with steady and sure results. I noticed that the results were more long-lasting when treatment continued until ALL traces had disappeared.

However, the most remarkable result for me came about 5 months ago when my hands broke out yet again and after a week of itching, red raw skin I decided it was time for some light therapy. But this time I decided to try the #11 Colour Therapy programme for facial and body skin problems.

Within days the raw itching sensation had stopped; by the end of the first week clean new skin was appearing through the flaky dead skin. Interestingly I only treated my hands specifically (the only affected area) once during the whole time the schedule was being implemented. After each application my face took on a distinctive "glow". Since completing the programme the condition has not returned since.

It has been a very satisfying result thanks to Bioptron and its Colour programme.

Eczema had been making life hell for this little chap, and his family, but now we are well on the way to seeing a nice looking little lad leading an better life.

In just four treatments the eczema on this child has been greatly improved with the use of Bioptron Light.

Bioptron is the our main daily routine in keeping my daughter’s eczema away. The Oxy spray and light therapy improved her skin situation so much, that we not longer need to worry about it and have managed to reduced the need for all other creams and moisturisers.

At the end of February this year, my daughter 20 months old at the time got a mild case of chicken pox. It was completely cleared up within 10 to 12 days. About weeks later after the rashes had cleared up (Easter) she developed a skin rash it showed up with what my husband and I thought were flea bites or mozzie bites just 3 small pinhead blisters, this number doubled each day on that knee which I took a photo to ask a friend what she thought it was (photo below) and soon by a week it turned into a big dry itching blotch on her whole knee. I decided to take her to the doctor and he confirmed that it was in fact eczema. She prescribed an aqueous cream and steroid cream. However we did not want to use these on her so we did some research and found that turmeric oil helps so I made my own organic turmeric oil as I couldn't buy it anywhere and I mixed with the following essential oils: neem oil, lavender oil, tea-tree oil, patchouli oil, and sandalwood oil and i mixed it together with organic coconut oil and share butter and Weleda skin food (photo below). I used that cream and also Rhino Repair on the affected areas and I bought a cream called Aquaderm cream to put over the rest of her body and bathed her in colloidal oat bath soak. (photos below) I even got Artemis itch calm which she refused to take anyway.

This took away the itch and stopped the rash/blotch from spreading but it didn’t seem to be clearing it up. More research we did made me think she had food allergies but my husband found a research study stating that the chicken pox virus can stay in the system and cause a viral autoimmune attack on the the skin. We ended up using the steroid cream once a day as it started to now spread up and down the leg and then starting the appear on the other leg too. My neighbour told me chickweed cream was good for eczema and also gave me contact info to a lady who did bio-resonance, so I ordered the chickweed cream as well as cell foods oxygen gel and booked in with Helen (bio resonance lady)

We went to see Helen on a Friday afternoon. She ran tests and did treatments and gave us a magnet disc that Malika was to wear for a month.

She concluded that Malika did indeed have the chicken pox virus in her system still and that she was allergic to dairy and was intolerant to soy and wheat, she told me to put Malika on fish oil and probiotics. So I went off to buy those and also new foods she could eat as well as allergy cookbooks and we also bought all new clothes for Malika we only use 1005 cotton, pure merino and bamboo now and allow nylon but no more synthetic wools or polyesters.

But the Monday 3 days after the treatment Malika was now covered in the rash feet, legs, arms, hands, back, and tummy. I told Helen and she said this was normal it was the treatment and the magnet chip pulling the virus out over her system, I then went on to find out oregano oil could help when I was researching it for something else so I mixed a couple of drops in the chickweed and I used this and the rhino repair only it seems to be helping I used for 2 days.

Then I thought of the Bioptron light I pulled it out with my books and started to use it I ad a full bottle of the oxy water which Malika threw off the bed and it hit the draws when went to use it again it exploded and went everywhere. So I used the light gel instead using the light twice and the gel twice.

There was clearly a difference the rash wasn’t flared up red and she stopped scratching. The next day after 2 more treatments with the light and using the gel, it had reduced. Each day it reduced more and more. By the third day I stopped Using everything else and just used the light and gel as I could see it was the only thing that showed the best result in healing her.

An 18-year-old male patient with facial trauma has been hospitalized for 7 days after a car accident. In addition to the initial treatments from plastic surgery and dentistry clinics, Bioptron hyperlight therapy was started two days after the accident for the treatment of soft tissue trauma, such as bruises, wounds, and scrapes around the mouth and nose area of the patient. Bioptron is used every day, for 15 minutes from a distance of 5 cm for the first 5 days of treatment. Stitches of the wound were removed 10 days after the accident.

Bioptron Hyperlight therapy applications were continued for 3 months, twice per week using the same settings. The healing of the soft tissue was observed and reported with photographs. While the skin covering the scar was red and overgrown initially, it has improved successfully during the Bioptron treatment duration by getting smoother and changing into similar color to the rest of the skin.

A patient from Switzerland, who presented chronic psoriasis symptoms, but from time to time there were severe flare-ups, when the whole back area was affected.

During the last cycle, the patient treated herself with Bioptron Pro1. Bioptron was used as a monotherapy (no other treatment was applied), once a day at a 10 cm distance for 60 minutes, in 10-minute treatments on 6 areas - in order to cover the whole surface of the back.

Before the treatment with Bioptron Hyperlight Therapy, the whole surface of her back was covered with red patches. Moreover, there were pustules on the skin and it was very rough.

After 9 days of Bioptron Hyperlight Therapy treatment, the red patches turned into milder pink, which was a marker of inflammation decrease. The number of pustules was highly reduced and the skin was smoother.

After additional 6 days of Therapy, the redness further decreased, while the pustules almost disappeared.

After 17 days in total, the patient’s back has recovered drastically. The redness almost completely vanished, there are no pustules, and the repaired skin is smooth and without inflammation.

I have suffered from psoriasis of the feet for the last 2 years and have put up with the irritation using only Dermovate cream for the small relief it provides.

I had 2 treatments with acupuncture and Bioptron Light Therapy before continuing with straight light applications for a period of 2 weeks. I was regularly using the light morning and night and after the 3rd week when the condition had settled down, I was less diligent in my rate of application.

A patient from Switzerland suffered from psoriasis on her hand and feet, manifested in a very dry, reddish and even peeling skin.

Bioptron Hyperlight Therapy was used in combination with cortisone cream and baths to calm the itching. Bioptron Hyperlight Therapy treatments were done once per day, for 10 minutes on each affected area: the back of the left hand, the back of the right hand, the palm of the left hand, the palm of the right hand, the sole of the left foot and the sole of the right foot.

Before Bioptron Hyperlight Therapy, the whole hand was very dry and rough and the skin of the palm is peeling. The patient also remarked that the skin underneath such patches was very sensitive and painful to the touch.

After the entire treatment the palms of her hands are very smooth, no peeling is observed anymore. Also, the back of her hands is no longer dry and rough, but soft and vivid.

After the therapy, both feet improved drastically. The soles of the feet are very smooth, the skin is not peeling anymore. Moreover, the surface of the feet has changed from reddish and peeling into smooth and shining skin. Furthermore, the feet are no longer inflamed and the swelling has disappeared.

Two years ago I was gardening with un-gloved hands. The next day my finger started to hurt. I thought I had a prickle in it and tried to get it out with a needle. The next thing I knew, the skin started to peel until I had a completely raw fingertip. This looked like it was at least three layers deep. I am really delighted to tell anyone and everyone about what Bioptron Light has done for me.

For many years I suffered from a recurring ulcer on my ankle. This progressed to being worse and constant. I tried every remedy in and out of all the books. Decubitus ulcer is a bedsore consequence of lying or sitting in one position for a very long period. These types of ulcers most often develop on skin that covers bony areas of the body, such as the heels, ankles, hips and tailbone. Although often they could be prevented and treatable if detected early, pressure ulcers can be very difficult to prevent in critically ill people, frail elders and individuals with impaired mobility such as wheelchair users. In these cases decubitus ulcers could became a very serious problem.

A 94 old lady had an impaired mobility due to her complicated medical history (spondylarthroses, colorectal cancer, cardiac decompensation, Alzheimer's disease, high blood pressure and deep vein thrombosis of postoperative lower limbs). She developed a very serious and deep decubitus ulcer at the heel. During one month and a half the patient was treated with standard methods but the wound continued to grow, becoming necrosed (the tissue dies as a result of blood and oxygen deprivation of its cells)

After removing the necrotic tissue, the heel started to be treated once a day for 5 minutes with Bioptron with the red filter, followed by the standardized cleaning treatment.

To follow the evolution of the wound, photographs were taken at different time intervals after the light therapy session and before covering the wound, as well as measurements and comments about the wound aspect and evolution. Before start the treatment, the size of the wound was 4.5cm long, 3cm large and about 1cm deep.

During the first days a diminution of fibrin and an improvement of the ulcer bounds were evident. After 15 days of light therapy the wound started to close properly and decreased in size: less than 4cm long, 2.5cm at the widest point, and less than 0.5 cm depth. At day 43 the wound was superficial, almost healed (size 1.8cm long and 0.8cm at the largest point). At day 67 the wound is only 0.5mm in diameter and the bounds completely healthy and healed.

In this case, despite the general bad condition of the patient (including poor nutrition and hydration), the wound healed quick and healthily. Under the point of view of the experienced nurse who follow-up and took care of the patient, without Bioptron Light therapy the wound would of exacerbated and get worst. Bioptron is a beneficial device to heal difficult ulcers that could not be cured otherwise.

On February 10, 2001 a small stone entered my shoe, piercing the underside of my foot. On March 2001, due to insufficient circulation in my legs I underwent angioplasty to my right leg.

This was unsuccessful and a chronic ulcer formed at the site of the injury.

In June 2001 I was admitted to Middlemore Hospital for a Femural Bypass, resulting in a slight improvement of the ulcer, but it again deteriorated after tripping at work. I was then admitted back into Middlemore for a surgical debridement and a 3 month course of antibiotics as osteomyelitis was present in the bone.

I was constantly under the care of the Super Clinic Podiatrist and the District nurses- one of whom mentioned a patient who was successfully treated with a “special light”. This was in March 2002.

After making some enquiries I discovered a friend also owned a BIOPTRON lamp and was very positive about its healing qualities. I contacted Audrey Tomlin and she loaned me a light for a week, which resulted in my decision to purchase a lamp for myself.

The rest is history!!!.

The ulcer under my first M T P Joint responded to the BIOPTRON lamp so well that by December 2002 the ulcer had almost healed.

The results of the BIOPTRON lamp have amazed my doctor.

About mid December, I noticed a red mark on the back of my left leg. It was a bit sore. There were vein like marks spouting out from the red sore. It was very small.

I went away in December for three weeks and there was little change in the leg and it was not a problem. When I returned to Auckland I found that the sore was spreading. It was troubling me, so I went to Dr. Wong at the Titirangi Medical Centre on January 10th 2002.

Doctor and nurses were puzzled and thought it might be an ulcer. They applied various types of dressings approximately every 2 days. The sores become worse, more inflamed and the leg appeared to be rotting. Black patches appeared daily on the sore (see photo) and they said it was dead skin. They proceeded to pick at the sore (to remove black skin) and I was in agony.

After about 3 weeks I could bear it no longer and consulted a prominent skin specialist – Professor Shaw.He looked at the wound, shook his head and said, “I’m not going to charge you because I don’t know what it is!”He referred me to surgeon Wilbur Familla, who is based at the Super Clinic at Manukau City. He is known to me and saw me for a gall bladder problem. I also have a serious heart condition.

He saw me about a week later was not sure what it was and referred me to a Dermatologist at the Super Clinic. She was Darian Rowan, I saw her about a week later. The pain was unbearable, it was agonizing, and I could not walk on it. I could not eat and felt really, really ill all that time. My family and I and the Bishop of our church were really afraid that I was going to loose my leg.

Darian Rowan a prominent surgeon got a photographer to take photos of the wound and told me to come back the following week to have a biopsy done.

Another week was to go by. I never heard from her for two or more weeks and than I received a letter from her. She wrote that she would refer me to the North Shore Hospital and they would contact me in due course. By this time, the Bishop of our church had become very concerned about my condition and told me to contact a specialist and said that church fund would pay. I found a Dr. Scollay who saw me almost immediately and told me to come back the next day for a biopsy. I have just been told that a letter of his findings has been sent to Dr Joseph of the White Cross Hospital in Ellerslie. I have requested a copy.

About this time I became aware of the Bioptron Light. I had heard John Gillespie talking about this light and its remedial cures for many complaints including leg sores etc. I was not sleeping at all some nights, and I was in agony and thought “Well. I’ve got nothing to lose”, so I rang up Radio Pacific and asked John to contact me. He came around to give me my first treatment on 21st March and is still treating me almost daily.

The dead tissue is all gone and the healing process is quite remarkable. We have a few photographs taken of what turned out to be a giant venous ulcer or so they say, although it might have been originally a white-tail spider bite!

John also uses an Oxy Spray, before and after Bioptron Light Therapy as a mild disinfectant and to speed up the healing process.

The Waitakere District Nurses, after telling me that the leg would take months or even up to a year to heal, are now really impressed to say the least, as was Tom Morris - specialist of Epsom, who I was sent to for treatment. His charges were about $250.00 and I did not benefit from the treatment or instructions, a really unbearable stocking, so very tight it cut off the blood supply.

I am really grateful to John and the Bioptron Light because I have been through a lot of pain, agony and expense trying to regain my health. Consultation and treatment from one specialist alone cost me $750.00 which my church paid for and for which I am thankful.

DIAGNOSIS:

• 4 year history of painful reticulated ulcer left calf - changes of lipo-dermatosclerosis suggesting that venous hypertension is the primary cause of this problem.
• Nothing histologically to suggest pyoderma gangrenosum or chronic specific infection.
• Bacteriology of tissue from the wound edge has been negative, as so far been the mycology and tuberculous cultures.

MANAGEMENT:

• Suggest that Mrs Fletcher be referred to n Specialist Vascular Unit such ns Mr Tom Morris for assessment of her leg venous system and initial management with compression stockings.

COMMENT:
Enclosed is a copy of the eventual report on the histology of a generous biopsy from Mrs Fletcher's ulcer. These show changes of lipo-dermatosclerosis which is a change most often seen in ulcers due to venous hypertension (stasis ulceration).

While I realise that this is occurring in the context of a clinical picture, where there is no evidence of venous veins, this in no way denies the diagnosis.

The management that flows from this understanding of the etiology of Mrs Fletcher's ulcer is on assessment of the venous anatomy of her leg by a specialist vascular unit, such as Mr Tom Morris' and the initial use of compression stockings to heal the ulcer. Hopefully surgically remediable causes of venous hypertension will be found and they con be dealt with.

As you know, Colin developed an ulcer on his right leg, lower calf muscle. This was caused by a scratch from a piece of steel in Mid – January. He went to the doctor on the 20th of January, as it had obviously developed an infection. This infection did not heal, even after taking five lots of antibiotics, and had developed into a large, deep and painful ulcer by the end of April. It was being dressed twice a week by the local District Nurses and Panadol was being taken at night and often during the day for pain relief.

At this time, there seemed to be no solution to the problem and it seemed to be getting worse each time we removed the bandage.

Colin was referred to the Ulcer Clinic and a Specialist who prescribed a Compression Stocking. At the same time he purchased the Bioptron Light from you and began treatment twice a day. With the light and the stocking, the wound immediately began to heal. This was more obvious when we were able to treat with the light when the bandage was removed. We were amazed to be able to see the granulation occuring during treatment. The District Nurses were also amazed at how quickly healing took place. By the first week in September it was completely healed leaving very little scarring. We are quite convinced that Bioptron Light Treatment played a large part in the turn around and healing of the Ulcer.

In May 2001 I developed a large red welt on my leg which was unrecognised by medical staff at the local Health Centre apart from being an infection, but later recognised by a person who had previously been bitten by a white-tailed spider.

The District Nurses gained information from the internet that the spider was flesh-eating, usually obtaining its venom by eating the common “Daddy Longlegs" New Zealand spider; that there was no known antidote and that it was unaffected by all known antibiotics. All this was confirmed by an Australian Research Programme. Züriker information revealed that the effects of a bite were relentlessly ongoing for older people with poor circulation and frail skein, often resulting in deep sealed ulcers necessitating skin grafts and in some cases amputation.

In spite of many and varied treatments tried, the bite increased in size and a consultant ordered 2 weeks bed rest in hospital. followed by what eventually turned out to be a very damaging leg bandage.

The District Nurses (Tauranga Hospital) asked Judy Alvos if she would do a case study using the Bioptron Lamp Therapy, which she did commence with 4 mornings of concentrated colour therapy, using the large light.

This was followed by intensive morning and night use of a compact lamp by myself, monitored once a week by Judy.

The improvement in the area which was rapid at first evened out to a steady gain and after 3 1/2 months in total of the use of the lamp, the bite finally healed.

The photographs showing the dreadful state of my leg after the use of the specialist bandage which were sealed to be seen at the consultant's clinic, were never acknowledged.

I am extremely grateful for the use of the Bioptron lamp and especially for the care and attention from Judy Alvos.

We have been using the Bioptron Light Machine in Shoal Bay Villa Rest Home for about two months now, mainly on leg ulcers and wounds for the joy of both my residents and mine. Four minutes per day on the wound with some oxy spray is all that you need to do. No Dressings on the wounds saved me some money but time as well. Wounds and bruises after injuries usually heal very slowly with old people and sometimes get infected, this prolongs the healing even more, With Bioptron Light Machine wounds after injuries healed nicely and quickly without any complications. Chronic al wounds haven't yet healed completely but are getting smaller, less inflamed, and the surrounding skin has got a healthier colour showing that the circulation has been improving.

I would recommend to everybody who has similar problems with wounds or leg ulcers to give it a go with the Bioptron Light Machine. You don't have anything to lose, there are no side effects and no harm that this wonderful machine can do to your body and I am pretty sure that it will help you as it has helped my residents.

I used both the small colour lamp and the large lamp for about 10 years. Favour the colour lamp.

For my daughter, the cat accidentally scratched her nose and cheek. The next morning her face was painful, pussy reddened and weeping. The doctor’s medication caused a large blister to form. 20 minutes with red and the pain was relieved. And the next morning the blister was marginalized. I'd just like to tell others about how great it is.

I used it on my son who had an operation which was in a place that would be hard to heal. I used the Bioptron light plus the blue and purple colour therapy on him for 4 times a day for five weeks, he had no bruising. The pain was kept to a low level and the healing of the area was really good.

We had such great results, that even the surgeon had said, he had healed up really well. I had told him what I'd be doing and he said that the operation my son had had can take months to heal.

I have a sister who has one as well. She told me all about it.

I came to the Light and Colour Clinic because I had a post-surgical wound that wouldn’t heal for two years.

Two years ago I had an abscess in tissue covering the end of the tailbone. it was caused by an ingrown hair going very deep into the tissue. The hair was taken out surgically but the wound was very deep and kept weeping and couldn’t heal.

I tried everything else and the Light and Colour Clinic was a last resort.

Initially, I was coming every second day for three months and then twice a week for another three months and the wound healed completely.

I would like to let more people know about this very gentle but successful treatment that I really enjoyed.

As an ex-farmer and semi-retired builder I am of the old mould of land person and for years have taken the various accidents, bumps and knocks in my stride, believing that my body will heal itself somehow and let me get on with my work. But as I've got older the body seems to take much longer to get over even the smallest hurt.

Alternative Therapies have always fascinated me so when I was first told about Bioptron a year ago I decided to investigate and soon became convinced that if it could assist and regenerate the body and strengthen the immune system then it would certainly assist me. Just recently I had the misfortune (and opportunity) to test the light to its limits. Working on a building I jumped down from an upper level onto a 4-inch nail protruding out from a piece of 4 x 2 timber. The nail went through my sandshoe and penetrated some 3 to 4 centimetres sideways into the arch of my left foot. It was late afternoon so with a very painful and bleeding foot, I left for home immediately.

On reaching home some 15 minutes later my first thoughts were to bathe the wound in very hot water and then put it up so that it wouldn't throb so painfully and then decide what to do next. My wife said to me "Why don't you use the light?"

I realized that I had completely overlooked using the light on myself but after a quick Oxy- Spray, I began using the little light. After only a few minutes the pain had abated by at least 75-80% so I continued on for another 4 minutes and then retired to bed where I slept all night.

Next morning I got up as per normal and carried out my usual chores before heading off for work. As I walked to the car my wife said "How is your foot?" and I was stunned to realize I had no pain, no discomfort walking and in fact had completely forgotten about yesterday's accident.
