Pressure Sores: Home Care Experience

I would like to tell you about my own experience with pressure sores.

My older partner was very unwell for many years and was finally bedridden. In his last few months, he had to be slung out of his bed so I was able to move him between his bed and a wheelchair. He had very very soft skin and twice it started to “slit”.

As soon as I noticed I gave him liquid zinc (for skin repair) and then used the Bioptron machine.

For the first damage, I would have used the machine about 8-8.30 am (probably 20 mins). By early afternoon after lunch, when he had his second wash, the skin was already glazing over.

I used the Bioptron machine and related protocol until he was fully healed.

If I had not seen this with my own eyes, I would never have believed it!
