Lucy's Dislocated Ankle: Pain and Swelling

Dear Gordana,

My 14 year old daughter Lucy had an accident on a flight of stairs in which she dislocated her ankle. The joint was so painful and swollen that Lucy couldn't stand on that leg. Her doctor gave her an elastic bandage and a pair of crutches so that she would put no weight on the leg. Since the joint was still very painful we thought of the Bioptron light therapy which we had successfully used many times before this. The joint was treated for two days, twice daily for 10 minutes per treatment. After those two days Lucy could walk completely normally without the elastic bandage or the crutches. Once again we were convinced about the efficiency of the Bioptron light therapy.
