Hip Replacement: Swollen Leg and Slow Healing

I would like to tell you about my experience with one of your Bioptron Lamps.

I had a total right hip replacement at the end of May 2000. I was in a lot of pain from my right shoulder right down to my little toe. The scar was not healing as I thought it should be. I happened to mention this to a neighbour and she immediately offered to give me some treatment with her Bioptron lamp.

During the first two weeks of treatment, twice daily, I had this "zing feeling of well-being" which I had not had for a long time, having had my back broken in an accident late 1990.

My right leg was very swollen, tight and sore after the hip replacement. The hospital did a scan, looking for a clot, but found none. Within three weeks of treatment my leg had gone down to normal size and I felt much more comfortable, however Maureen continued with the treatment for another week, twice daily, then went onto once a day for another three weeks. I then went on holiday for three weeks with no treatments. The scar healing is now linking together nicely and I am having one treatment per week.

I am known as a slow healer because of other operations and I really appreciate what Maureen and your lamp have done for me. I have read all your literature and know what your lamp is capable of achieving and am now free of all pain and would have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone for whatever purpose.
