Asthma and a Painful, Stiff Back

Dear Gordana,

I have been an acute asthmatic since I was eight. I have been on steroids and Ventolin and during the past few years, I have been having severe attacks that often had me end up in the hospital. The last attack - status asthmaticus lasted for five days and had to be hospitalized - I had in October last year.

In December of last year I started having Bioptron light and colour therapy treatments three times a week and my health condition slowly but surely started to get better. When I started having the Bioptron treatments I decreased the usage of the steroids until I stopped using them altogether. Thus it has now been quite some time since I last used them, and I don't have any health problems because of it. I breathe much better and easier and feel much more powerful. I also use less and less Ventolin, even when I do it is usually in the mornings and sometimes evenings, but in much smaller doses.

The Light Therapy alongside the appropriate diet and the fact that I don't eat any allergens has helped me immensely. Although my hairdressing job still exposes me to some allergens they don't affect my breathing the way they used to. I will continue with the Bioptron therapy and I believe that within the next 6 months, I will be able to discontinue the use of Ventolin and become a completely healthy person.

with much respect and gratitude towards the Bioptron lamp, I write this letter so that I might inform other people with asthma that something much better and less dangerous than steroids exists, something that can relieve their breathing problems and enhance their lives.

In regard to my profession - a hairdresser, which I have been my entire life, my back, as my entire skeleton, and my muscles were very tight and stiff condition. They were painful on movement and even to the touch. The neck and shoulders especially, but also the shoulder-blade region and the muscles beside the spine. The muscles were like lumps, hard and painful, and unevenly tightened on the right and left sides of the spine which caused an additional burdening of my spine.

Daily treatments with the Bioptron lamp and a weekly massage resulted in unbelievably fast results. Now my muscles are completely soft and relaxed and there are no more lumps, my back is much more mobile and there is no more pain.
