Five-Year Venous Ankle Ulcer

I have some very good news to share.

I had a venous ulcer on my left inside ankle for almost FIVE YEARS. I pursued every treatment option I had found, including having my great saphenous veins stripped, Manuka honey, crystal therapy, lymphatic therapy, magnet therapy, years of four-layer compression bandaging and ultrasonic debriding (extremely painful!) Over the almost five years I had cycled in and out of optimism, depression, weight gain, lethargy, lack of exercise, hopelessness, always chronic pain, sleeplessness, etc. The journey has been amazing, the people I have met and the treatments I have tried have been wonderful. All the treatments helped a little but nothing ever made the ulcer heal completely.

After four months of ten minutes twice daily shining the BIOPTRON polychromatic light on my ulcer, it has finally completely healed!!! Hooray!
