Chemotherapy Side Effects During Treatment

I started Bioptron light treatment because I had to have six sessions of chemotherapy, at monthly intervals. Two years ago I had a similar course of chemo and therefore I knew how miserable this would make me feel. So I was very willing to try light treatment to see if it would help support my body through this difficult time.

After my first Chemo treatment, I had all the responses I had experienced with my previous sessions - nausea, vomiting, dizziness, furry tongue, horrible taste in the mouth and utter exhaustion. Then I began the Bioptron light treatment nearly every day and the results have been amazing. My only problem now, after my monthly chemo, is extreme exhaustion, and this is very easy to cope with. My skin is in excellent condition and I have lost no hair at all (last time I was quite thin on top). In fact, my hairdresser tells me that my hair is in the best condition she has ever known it!

I eat and sleep well and am in excellent spirits, especially now that a CT scan shows my tumour is shrinking!

I feel confident that the light and colour therapy has helped my body to cope and I am so grateful to you to have had the opportunity to have treatment every day.
