Cerebral Palsy: Chest Infections and Well-being

Our daughter, Hineraukatauri, has severe cerebral palsy. She is unable to walk or talk, is tube fed by a machine directly into her stomach, has spasticity in all four limbs, suffers seizures, and has other very complex medical needs.

Throughout her eight years of life, Hineraukatauri has had many emergency admissions to Starship Children's Hospital to be treated for chest infections and pneumonia, particularly during the winter months.

Lee began Bioptron light treatment with Hineraukatauri several months ago and we have seen a great improvement in her general well-being. So far this year, she has had no unexpected admissions to hospital, only routine outpatient clinics and surgical visits. We firmly believe this is due to our daughter receiving regular light treatment and are so convinced of the benefits of this therapy, we have purchased our own Bioptron light for home use.

The treatment is painless and indeed, very relaxing. It assists with improving the immune system and has a comprehensive range of other health benefits.

We are very grateful to Lee for introducing us to this wonderful therapy and will continue to use the lights as a daily treatment for our daughter and the rest of the family.
