Acute Mastitis in a 4-Year-Old Cow

DSB Cow, 4 years old

Sudden appearance of extremely acute Mastitis. The temperature rose to 41.30 C, the right front of the udder became very hot, swollen, painful and red spots appeared. The secretion hardly changed, only small yellow flakes were visible.

Therapy: One dose of Apis D30 and BIOPTRON 2 twice daily for 6 minutes. The cow was repeatedly milked.

Result: No swelling at all the next day. The udder was loose and soft. The milk was yellow with many yellow flakes of pus. The temperature sank down to 39.40C. The treatment was continued for the next two days. A dose of Phellandrium D6 was given twice daily. The cow was milked five times per day.

After two days the animal was completely healthy.
